Kingsley

Falkirk visited Partick Thistle in the SPFL Championship this afternoon. The two bottom-of-the-table teams served up a 1-1 draw, a result that helped neither side as the team above them, Alloa Athletic, won and threatened to leave both of today's teams stranded in the relegation places.

The most astonishing thing about visiting Firhill Stadium (it's got some sponsor's name now, but l can't remember it) is the sight of the Partick Thistle mascot (pictured, on the left), who goes by the name of Kingsley. He (it?) is a scary-looking specimen, who is certainly the topic of much conversation and comment (much of the latter unrepeatable in polite company). Actually, the same could be said about the referee, but I'll decline that opportunity.
