The Golden Stag Of Schöneberg

This magnificent work by August Gaul , a German sculptor & expressionism artist , stands high on a column which is  set in a large fountain  before  Rathaus Schöneberg and the classic U4, Berlin's second shortest  underground ( 5 stations) , 2.86km. The fountain built in 1912 is currently turned off for winter.In late spring I'll return for a comparative blip. Schöneberg has the stag on the coat of arms .The station, lake & park are likewise  works of art .. another story....
