Still Hanging On

A busy day today…

Big shop this morning, which was bigger than hoped for as we seem to have run down a lot of stuff recently. Need to restock for post-Brexit survival.

Had to call in to the studio to take a large lamp for Mrs madwill - one of the ceiling lamps there has failed and it was a bit gloomy for the quilting classes.

Made a start on packing up the next batch of fabric packs for quilt shows at Harrogate and Oldham in February and March…and Mrs madwill has more TV appearances lined up from March to July, so I will be busy.

On our walk through the woods this afternoon I spotted these oak leaves that are still firmly attached to the branch. This particular branch was blown down before the autumn leaf fall, so I am guessing the leaves are not rotting in the normal way as they retained all their chlorophyll etc. when the were deprived of water.

Made a batch of carrot and coriander soup, freezer stocks of soup are running low. Got to make some beef stock next - to be used for a casserole tomorrow.
