Bovey River and the Old Mill

It's never actually been a mill apparently. It was the stable building for the Bridge Inn (now the Riverside Inn) and the water wheel was just for collecting water for the inn and stables. It's now the home of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen with its shop, exhibition space and cafe.

It's been a chilly, wet and miserable day. Marian wanted to go to the wool shop in Bovey Tracey so I went along with the idea of a blip there. It started to rain heavier on the way, the effect of getting nearer to Dartmoor, I suppose. I put on a lens hood to give the front element a bit of shelter and got my shot from the bridge
