Due South

We know this route so well, but this is our first trip in 5 months. Which is a surprise.

Our frequency of travelling over the years means we have built up s collection of familiar landmarks and places. Here we have reached the Ilsleys, which lie just off the A34. The road is crossing the North Wessex Downs, and makes an interesting kink as it goes around (and avoids) East Ilsley. Look closely and it is immediately ahead (obviously), but also to the left going over the hill.

We are also on kite watch here. They can be seen north and south of Oxford, their forked tails and lazy flight both distinctive. Six was today’s count
