Chinese Terracotta Warriors

My husband's birthday today and he wanted to see the Terracotta Warriors (aka the Buried Army) so we went off to Te Papa, in Wellington, where a travelling exhibition is being held. I'd seen them in Xi'an when I was in China, but was keen to see them again. Obviously not the same as seeing the huge massed army in situ, it was still very interesting to see them and the other pieces that were on display with them. The Chinese were so amazingly talented with their metal - gold silver bronze etc and clay work so early on it's just unbelievable. Such an advanced culture in so many ways. And it was a beautiful day on the Wellington waterfront as an added bonus.
