An ordinary life....

Keeping my gin up...

I may be another year older but as a result my speciality gin tray has been restocked and that's worth celebrating too!  :-))

Today has been a day of little triumphs (autocorrect changed that to trumps.  So glad I noticed :-)) with David and I both making headway with some overdue household admin, the most exciting of which was getting booked for a week at Kielder water in the summer.

Alan had a ball there n 2016 and has been keen to go back.  We are taking his pal Andrew with us this time and every time he comes over, he asks if we've booked it yet.  I am so happy that when he comes next week, we will be able to say yes!

Andrew is keen to go but a bit worried about some of the activities on offer (he doesn't like heights) but the people at the Calvert Trust are so encouraging and supportive (well they managed to get David on the zip wire!) I am sure he will come home feeling he is invincible!

Sad news in our little town today with the news of the passing of local Perthshire lad and world renowned chef Andrew Fairlie.  Fifty-five is no age but what a wonderful legacy he leaves behind.
