Ice House ?

A day of not doing very much, just what l needed.
Betty’s Cafe, so loved by many has six branches l think ( but stand corrected) celebrates its centenary this year.
As a child we had a cafe in Leeds and it was our go to place before the pantomimes at the Grand , the Empire or the Theatre Royal, sadly only the Grand remains and no longer does a panto.
I also used to get my Easter egg from there an annual present my brother who was like a second dad to me after my own daddy had died when l was two.
It was so beautifully decorated l never wanted to eat it!
Luckily we still have a branch in Ilkley and two in nearby Harrogate, which seem to be as popular as ever.
Long queues as usual.
Their window is full of centenary confections and special editions of mugs, teapots and tea caddies.
The box of six mini rascals looked especially tempting to me :-)
Also in the window today is this beautiful house, piped so skilfully in royal icing.
I’ve added the thank you on the door as my thanks for the lovely messages and gifts you left me yesterday for my Blip milestone.
You are a wonderful bunch and it made me think how amazing it would be if Blipfoto could one day celebrate its own centenary.
Isn’t that a pleasing thought?
