Quod oculus meus videt

Sunrise, Chesterton Mill

An early start to reach AnnieAndChris for a get together today.  I gave myself the opportunity to be near Chesterton Mill around sunrise and wasn't disappointed.  Even though there is hardly a cloud in the sky in this image of the sunrise, looking the other way was a different matter (see extra).

The rest of the trip was uneventful and I arrived in a still snowy Buckinghamshire spot on time.  A good catch up, some useful discussions and a list of things to do meant a successful visit.

The return trip was equally uneventful save for some red kites and buzzards struggling to soar in the freezing temperatures.  I doubt I've ever seen either bird flap so furiously to gain lift.
