Glorious wildflowers

I had a wee walk this evening, my first since surgery. As to be expected my leg is up now and it's having a grumble.

It was good to be out with my friend and her dogs. I can't believe how different the wildflowers show is a couple of weeks later. They're just sensational.

I take over wound care duties tonight. I'm not looking forward to it but I'll cope. I have a friend I can call on during tomorrow's Waitangi Day public holiday, if I'm concerned.

It's cooler this evening with a weak southerly change. There will be little or no moisture out of it, nothing to reduce our extreme fire risk.

The small, furry Jasper Jam is mooching around, my leg is resting before I tackle a shower and the wound care instructions, and my book is handy.

Today's gratitude: For a a great day at work.
