Nordic Erika

7.1C with light rain most of the day. E/ESE/SE wind to 28 mph with gusts to 41 mph.

Apothecary7's day off.

Fergus and I went for our walk after lunch. We went round to the harbour, passing the old quay, and out along the shore side of the park. We went as far as the cemetery, turned and came back the same way then along the street side of the park and came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (open). We got wet. Fergus had his coat on.

Yesterday Fergus and I saw a ship come round the headland at New Orleans and sail across our view of the Clyde coast, Ailsa Craig, and Arran before passing behind Davaar island to come into Campbeltown Loch (with the aid of a Pilot). Today the ship, Nordic Erika, was at the new quay unloading sheet steel for the Wind Turbine factory. A large mobile crane was doing all the lifting. Frifjord was at the other side of the quay loading wood from the huge pile on the quay. A much smaller mobile crane was doing the loading.
