Life in Sunny Dubai

There shall be showers of blessings!

It is past midnight here, so I'm going to try to put my thoughts down coherently!

My title is more for the picture in my Extra. History was made today when Pope Francis held a mass for 135,000 in the Zayed Sports Stadium. We got to watch it LIVE on one of the local TV channels with Arabic commentary, all very sensitively done. I love the Arabic hashtag that you can see in the picture. It translates to "Father Francis in the Emirates".

The UAE has a population of over a million Roman Catholics/Christians and today, their contribution to the development and success of the country was acknowledged and appreciated.

G was off today as schools were given a day off. We went out in the evening to post a couple of cards and check out City Walk. Last year, they put lanterns up for Chinese New Year. They've done the same this year. We ate at a new restaurant for us - The Victorian. I thought it was French but it had a lot of Lebanese items on the menu. Good food though, so we will go back. There were lots of things to take pictures of so it's been hard to narrow it down to just two.
