Hest Bank to the Lune Aqueduct

More blue sky persuaded Mr P to drop me off where he picked me up yesterday so I could walk in search of possibly the highlight of the canal. The plaque says its the largest all masonry aqueduct in Britain.  The Lune Aqueduct #107. Designed by John Rennie and opened in 1797. It really is magnificent. View along the top in extras to show how fancy it is.  I'm nearly in Lancaster, the last milestone said Lancaster 3 miles and that was a few bridges back .I've also added a panorama in extras so you can see how wide the aqueduct is. Yes I was standing in the scrub at the waters edge.
