A DOLLAR DOWN.....

.... so the saying goes!

Called by the mighty Nepean River this arvo, and spotted this Dollar Bird, perched up on a dead tree branch in the lowering sunlight.

These are migratory birds coming south from far afield to breed. Had found them here before a couple of year back -in fact it was 20th Feb 2015 -  if you wish some info check here on Birdlife Australia.
