A Meandering Life...

Contrasts :: MMC19 & TT194

MMC19 #12

& TT194 (Extra)

My main image is from tonights semi-final of the Federation of South London Photographic Societies annual competition. The judge is about to comment on my whale fluke image. This was taken on my mobile using it's mono setting.

My club competed in all 3 rounds of colour and mono prints plus projected images. It was the first time we had been in all rounds this far into the competition.

In the colour prints we lost by 4 points over all, in the mono (this was my mono print) we lost by 1/2 a mark and in the projected images we lost by 7 1/2 points. I won't need to spend a Saturday at the finals now...

Tiny Tuesday 194 (TT194)

My extra (it just couldn't have been done in mono) is of the tiny flowers of a Christmas Box (Sarcococca hookeriana humilis) that grows in my front garden and although the flowers are tiny they have a humungous fragrance at the moment.

I used some of the tips I gained from last week's speaker on table top photography to get the effect. A work in progress.
