Bluebird

This is a male Eastern bluebird. When I saw him in the tree beside the road - while we were on our walk - I couldn't tell what it was because he was just a dark silhouette against a bright sky. So I pointed the camera at him and jacked the white balance way up - and LO! A bluebird! As you can probably tell, the photo has been edited quite a bit to try to get it *right* - plus a bit of a vignette treatment just for... effect.

Chapel Spring Lane - the dirt road that is our regular walk - for some reason has a large bluebird population. We almost never see them at our house, but I routinely see bunches of them on our walks up and down this road.
