Sgwarnog: In the Field

Gull

It was a half-term day for 11yo and I, so we popped over to Ilkley for a potter about.

The veggie cafe was full and couldn't fit us in for another couple of hours, our usual Sunday tea shop was closed, so we resorted to vegan sausage rolls from Greggs and dined next to the Wharfe where we watched the gulls and ducks while a Red Kite circled overhead.

Later I'll be heading over to Nethernoor for a West Riding County FA Cup semi-final between Guiseley and Barnoldswick, the latter betraying their historic alliance to the Ridings despite the current Pennine geopolitical regime which sees them in the red rose county.  The winners will face Ossett United in the final.
