Brent Geese

I went to Ernest Doe in Ulting to try on and collect a lovely pair of short Le Chameau wellies that I had ordered. Afterwards Ollie dog and I went for a walk at Heybridge Basin. I had a coffee and she had a sausage at the Tiptree Lock tea room. As we were making our way back to the car in the late afternoon, wave after wave of Brent geese flew over our heads and congregated on the mud on the south side of the Blackwater. There must have been thousands of them. I sat on a bench listening to their chuntering, what a wonderful sound. :)

I'm a bit behind and will catch up with comments tomorrow.
