TINY TUESDAY - CHERRY BLOSSOM

Just after 8 o’clock this morning, the sun was shining and the sky was a beautiful bright blue, so after I had had my shower, and still wearing my pink robe, I decided to go out into the garden to see if I could reach some of the hawthorn branches from outside our fence.  Sadly, I wasn’t quite tall enough, so had to change my plans.

Looking around the garden, I saw that our ornamental cherry tree had lots of buds, with a few that had opened, so I decided that might be a better option, but the particular flower I wanted was just out of my reach.  Not one to give up without a fight, I looked around the garden, found some green wire and made a hook, which I then hooked around the branch so that it could be pulled down to my height.  It’s a true saying that “Necessity is the mother of invention”!  Mr. HCB was watching all this from the conservatory and said when I got back indoors that he wondered what I was doing - but I don’t think anything I do surprises him - not after all these years!

This shot is SOOC - straight out of camera - all I have done is cropped it slightly and put a frame round it using an app on my Macbook Pro called Photoscape X so this is my offering for Tiny Tuesday.

I apologise for not commenting last night, but thank you all for your kind comments, stars and hearts for my Mono Monday Blip.  I was out having a Blipmeet with my friend, Mindful_life - and a lovely evening it was too - she cooked butternut squash risotto, with mushrooms and crispy sage leaves on top - it was delicious - I could get used to having my evening meal cooked for me.  She was especially delighted because her son had tidied his bedroom in my honour so he wanted to show me his room and then he treated me to a performance on his electric drum kit - I know he hasn’t been drumming for that long, but he was good!

“Cherry blossom represents
the fragility and the beauty of life.
It's a reminder that life is
     almost overwhelmingly beautiful
but that it is also tragically short.
When the cherry blossom trees bloom
for a short time each year in brilliant force,
they serve as a visual reminder
               of how precious and
                    how precarious life is.”
