Life in Sunny Dubai

Beach canteen

It is G's very short day today, so she was home before I knew it! Just as well as she scheduled a meeting at 11:30 to plan the Women's World Day of Prayer service with two other ladies. That went well and as we were so close, we took Captain Glenis over to Holy Trinity Church to see where it will be held. There is so much history and old associations for us both with that church and it is always interesting to go back there and see all the changes. The book shop has opened again!

Back home for a quick change, and then we had to collect a Lavylites order before getting down to the Swyp Beach Canteen for this years' Food Festival.

It is scaled down, but nicely done. We ate from a food truck called Soulfull. They had freshly prepared, healthy options which were delicious. My extra shows where we ate. The main picture is of the bean bags placed in front of the stage where they do various activities in the evenings. We might just get back in the evening before it finishes on 9th March.

Back to Karama, and we popped in to see Pauline. She is leaving for several weeks to India, so we won't see her till April! She has taken well to the Lavylites and wanted to make sure she had enough for her time away.

There was some more planning done for the service in the evening. It's taking shape nicely.
