Every Picture Tells .....

Last of the winter sun?

WEDNESDAY

The weather was too good to be at work, so I took the afternoon off.

After a bit of gardening, we headed over to Oxenhope Station as, unusually on a schoolday, the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway was operating a steam timetable.

Pictured is locomotive 45212 - the last revenue-earning steam train operated by British Railways.

After a late lunch at the station buffet, we headed over the moors to Hebden Bridge and sat out in the late afternoon sunshine drinking coffee. (see extra).
