Rich picking

A pheasant has taken up residence amongst the wild part of our garden recently. Here he is strutting his stuff.
 
Well, it makes a change from the deer. 
 
Meanwhile we have not seen any grey squirrels for weeks. I used to like seeing their cheeky little faces at the window almost demanding more nuts be put into the bird feeder. 
 
 Our neighbours have installed traps under a scheme  run by the Scottish Wildlife Trust to eradicate them because they carry a flu like virus. While it does not kill them it kills the red squirrels and we have both in this area.
