Or Alstroemeria by any other name:-)  This bunch bought in a local florist about two weeks ago is still blooming beautifully.  Such lovely flowers and great value too.

A really delightful evening meeting three new friends for the first session of our Book Group.  The book was discussed in passing because a couple of members hadn't had time to finish it, but it was a great "getting to know you" session too.  One of the group, fellow blipper Katherine2805  gave me a gift of a lovely brooch (see Extra) to keep up a tradition she had learned about when living in Romania.  What a kind gesture:-)
