The Christmas Lights are almost ready...

There is a brief window of opportunity in our house to get the Christmas lights off the fence. They go up, regular as clockwork, around the time I realize we haven't got a Christmas tree yet (December 19, usually).  After that, it is far too cold to bring them in until March. But then, there comes a brief window of opportunity in mid-March. It falls between the glorious moment when the sun first  starts to warm things up and melts the ice surrounding the light bulbs, and the realization of the ivy that it is safe to start growing again. Once that happens, there is no chance of getting the bulbs in for another year.

These bulbs have been out since 2014.
