This little bird was an early visitor to the garden this morning.

The Co-op in our village was burgled sometime last night. One would think that given the location and the number of people living close by this would be a hi-risk crime with a good chance of getting caught. That of course turns out not to be the case...

With the terrible examples of violent crime and gang-related murders we are experiencing on an almost daily basis this compares as a small crime and I guess hardly worth the police bothering... But it doesn't seem that way to the people of our village.

There is of course no direct link between the lamentable reduction of police numbers and the numbers of ordinary people having to put up with this sort of thing... Not bloody much there isn't...
