Life's Little Moments

Heading for the Bistro

The squirrel population in our woods is extremely good at the moment, surprising since we know there are a pair of red fox who also reside in the woods.  Every morning, a troupe of squirrels descends on the feeders, going through all kinds of wild acrobatics to get at seeds and suet.  Nothing if not amusing.  With the exception of one braver squirrel, most of them bolt across the yard for the woods the moment I step outside.  But, if I am patient, most will eventually make their way back across the lawn, overcome by greed hunger.

I caught this little squizzer making its way quickly across the snow, a determined gleam in his eye.  In the interest of full disclosure, I got rid of some distracting shadows on the snow, leaving just the shadow of the subject.  I like the isolation of the squirrel against the snowy backdrop.

Hubs arrived home around noon so we zipped out and had a bite of lunch while catching up.  Very glad to have him home again.

Stay tuned to this space for the TinyTuesday results  which I plan to post tomorrow.  Soooo many fabulous entries, as usual.  If you haven't had a look, do take a minute to browse the entries HERE.
