A day in the life

Caution

I sort of live in the country. Not far from where I live one can buy eggs from a private owner of some hens and, apparently a guarding rooster.

Rehersal with my trio and a short walk this morning while  there still was some sun. In the afternoon I had my hair cut by my Kurdish barber, who is also an excellent musician. He plays the Saz, a lute-like instrument traditionally played by the turks, bosnian, syrian, and kurdish people. He always plays me a couple of his songs or some traditional dancetune and I realise that there is still plenty of music that I hardly know anything about at all. He wants us to play together sometime, I'm looking forward to that.
