Hobart and Seven Mile Beach

We thought we should see the beach as we have been here two days. There were Seven Miles of parking and a few people, nothing like in Sydney where you can’t find a park anywhere near a beach. Dogs are allowed off leash most of the time (not during summer days) and we saw some having a great time.

Did some washing ( which fell onto the dirt as my clothes line decided to turn over) and drove into Hobart to visit the Royal Botanical Gardens now over 200 years old. Some tree specimens were outstanding as was the whole place. We wandered around for quite a few hours before boarding a hop on hop off bus for a city tour (see extras). This is the second oldest town in Australia (after Sydney) and some of the old buildings are very quaint. The streets are named after the English kings and queens and military persons of that era.
