Glengariff Forest

We've enjoyed a typical West Cork day of brilliant sunshine and very sharp showers. TJ has been introducing me to more of the very special landscape around here, first Glengariff Forest and then the wild and remote cwm in which sits Barley Lake. Both are places to which I hope to return when the days are longer and the weather a little less wild.

Not easy to choose which photo to blip but perhaps this best captures the feel of the day. We are staying in Kenmare tonight, posting this and heading into the town for a bit to eat and some live music. I hope your day has been as good as ours.
