Sieze the day

By Mario

Marie and I traveled to Christchurch this morning to look at the Memorial to the Victims of Friday's Terrorist Attack. I shed many a tear today both behind the lens and during editing. It was amazing to see the whole community come together to share grief. The highlight for me was meeting my Cousin and her Husband before they flew back to the Netherlands, they have been here for a week following the journey of their Late daughter who died in a car crash in Australia 2 years ago. On Friday they had traveled from my sisters place in Cromwell arriving in Christchurch at same moment of the attack. They were locked in a shop until it was safe to go to where they were staying. It was fortunate that with the 12 hour time difference they were able to call their two Daughters in Holland that they were safe, for in Holland they woke to the terrible news.
