Merang, day 1

Back to KLIA2, this time to fly to Kuala Terengganu, a short hop, 45 minutes. My last holiday out of KL before I go home. I'm staying in s homestay right on the shores of the S China Sea and I'm the only guest so I have the undivided attention of the 2 hosts, a local anda Welshman.

This is the view from my balcony. I spent some time lying by the pool. It's not quite as hot as KL and there is a welcome breeze. I also had s foray to the beach. The sea is warm but rough, more surfing than swimming weather. And the beach had a lot of detritus brought in by the monsoon.

Dinner prepared by the owner and some chat about life and travel and culture. I feel very spoiled..
