Star Magnolia

I was up early and had done a few loads of washing and some chores before I set off to collect Murdoch from the kennels. Unfortunately there was a big accident on the M25 near my junction, one van and four cars were involved and they actually blocked off the anti-clockwise lanes for a few hours. Luckily my satnav redirected me another route to the kennels so I was able to get there in time to collect him. Apparently he had a great time with some other dogs rooming in with him :)

I then went and did a large grocery shop as Luke arrives home tonight so I wanted the fridge all stocked up. We are out tonight at a school function but should get home about the same time as Luke is due to arrive.

The spring bulbs in my garden are starting to pop up - well, what's left of them after the squirrels have eaten most of them. I have a magnolia stellata (star magnolia) that seems to have been in bud for months now, but it finally is blooming. I think I prefer the magnolia soulangeana, that's the pink fleshy one that smells so heavenly, so I cannot remember why I ever agreed to the stellata being planted instead of that.

I am still trying to finish editing my photos from my trip to Glencoe - it is always strange coming back to familiar surroundings at home after being surrounded by such unfamiliar and beautiful scenery for a few days.
