If you can't beat them...

Glencoyne Daffodils.

In the afternoon we decided to pay our annual visit to Wordsworth's daffodils at Glencoyne.  We were hoping that as the season hasn't really started there wouldn't be too many people around.  Wrong!  Our usual lay-by was full so we had to go further down the road.

We were hardly wandering lonely as a cloud but things weren't as busy as I expected.  For those not familiar with Glencoyne these are wild daffodils, descendants of Wordsworth "host of golden daffodils".

They are doing not too badly but I always worry about the pressures of tourists, fortunately people seem to either stay on the paths or walk between the clumps.
