Lyell Cemetery

Back on the road today and heading west. First stop some more thermal springs, beautifully done in a sort of natural Japanese zen way. Sadly you could only get day tickets so we ate pistachio energy balls and went on our way to Reefton. A rather odd and run down sort of place where
original old buildings have been made to look like old buildings. We didn't like get but stopped by chance at Lyell where there had once been a mining village for this was gold Rush country. The village had been submerged by bush but the little cemetery still just about remained, oddly moving. How tough those early settlers we're.
On to the longest suspension walkway in NZ, going for 100m across the Bullet Gorge. Yikes! It was wobbly!
And finally got some wifi so you can see the bus we stayed in way back in Picton.
Now in Murchison, the white water rafting centre of NZ. No we won't be.
