Barn Owls

A very low quality screen shot of a video clip Bro1 took in the aviary last night.
The owls have been calling to each other in the evenings recently which is a sure sign they were thinking about breeding. Bro1 checked the nest box a couple of weeks ago and they had started treading down pellets so he was hopeful they were going to breed. He’s very much left them alone, only opening a pop hole to put food in the aviary each night so not to disturb them. Last night he put his phone in the opening of the nest box to check on them and was utterly delighted to discover they have laid 3 eggs so far. That may be the clutch complete or there may be a couple more over the coming days.
