Flower Friday: Mothering Sunday Preparations

My dear Mum died almost 10 years ago at the age of 87, and she's buried in a woodland grave not far from here. My brothers and I always like to put some flowers on her grave for Mothering Sunday, which in the UK is this Sunday.

This year it was my turn to officiate, so when I took my Dad shopping this morning we chose the flowers, and this afternoon I took him to the grave to arrange the flowers. There's some mini-daffodils growing round the simple memorial stone as you can see. I buried a sawn-off water bottle in the ground to support the bouquet of flowers. It was nice just to spend a few minutes by the grave, thinking about her at this time.
