Wood Lane

I've a very nice but old digital piano that I use for gigs. It's lead has been letting me down recently and the manufacturer can't sell me a new one as it's such an old model. I can't get a replacement piano that I like as much and third party leads that I bought kept cutting out.  I have a small one that I sometimes use but it's sound isn't as good.

A few weeks ago a musician that I know offered to sort it as he's an electronics whizz. We took it to his house this afternoon where he (hopefully) fixed it. It was a beautifully warm and sunny day so we spent time sitting in his garden chatting to him and his wife and drinking tea.

Afterwards we went to Wood Lane Nature Reserve where we heard a chiffchaff singing and saw a red kite being mobbed by a gull and a blacktailed godwit on one of the lakes.

The reserve was formed from the worked out sections of a sand and gravel quarry and is very good for bird watching. The blip shows one of the lakes with the working quarry in the background.
