What Larks, What Flowers

A glorious morning at Therfield Heath, Royston. An exultation of larks above the purple carpet of pasque flowers on Church Hill.

Having read of Overtoun, the 'dog suicide bridge', I was a bit concerned that Ollie would fall from the narrow path along the steep side of the hill but she picked her way along perfectly and sat sensibly as I photographed the flowers.
