Dawn

Dawn of the Long Shadows.

The storms of last Friday and Saturday have dislodged this Laminaria Sp. (kelp) from its more usual habitat beyond low-tide. Usually, they are snapped off and lie strewn about but the rock these were fastened to has been deposited high up the beach in the same orientation so the plant is upright, but without the support of water, the fronds are drooping.

This crow then took an amble across to see why I was so interested in them.

The early dawn light was giving long shadows across the sands.
