Female Great Spotted Woodpecker

I love that at least one pair nest near our garden and come to our feeder every spring. Mama is a little nervous and a big fat pigeon scared her off today.

Tony drove us round the M25 (slightly hairy at times!) to Mum & Dad’s for dinner. Lovely to see them, a delicious meal and a holiday starting to be planned.
