Turning over a new leaf

We were driving up the narrow country lane to the home where Mom is currently residing and my eyes were drawn to the beautiful fresh green of the new sycamore leaves.  Lovely fresh colours and spring light.

I am going to turn over a new leaf - I am going to stop stressing about finding the perfect new home for Mom.  Yesterday a person from the home we had our eye on went to assess Mom and pointed out that Mom needed more care than they provided.  That was not what I expected, and I found out today that she only took one look at Mom, pronounced judgement and left.  Better to know now than later.  So we went to see two different homes this morning both of which claim to have specialist dementia and nursing provision.  It all comes down to what Social Services say really so I just need to wait for that.  Hopefully that might happen this week.  I am finding the financial side of things very befuddling -  I seem to get a slightly different explanation depending on who I am talking to...

Anyway, the green leaves are encouraging me....
