Awash with nature

It was a lively spring morning today with birdlife everywhere and the lower moors buzzing with these newly emerged mining bees. This is possibly a male tawny mining bee but look forward to confirmation or otherwise on that if you know!

I was surprised to see a coal tit family feeding its fledged brood - already!

The afternoon was taken up with a bike ride to Almscliff where I managed to ride the easterly home and spotted Rich on his way back from Easingwold with the boys, followed by birthday tea for Liz.  All in all, a rather fine day.
