Hover Fly!

According to my Google search there are 40 different species of Hover Fly in the UK, and I am almost certain this is the one known as the Narcissus Bulb Fly.  This hairy bumblebee mimic has many colour forms, allowing it to resemble several species of Bumblebee.  It can attack bulbs such as Daffodil and Bluebells.  My garden is full of daffodils and Bluebells so I can imagine why it is attracted to it!  This fly was flying up and down my kitchen window, and although I opened the window to let it out it refused to go.  So I took it in hand and turfed it out myselfâ˜ș
