Carpet of bluebells

We were in Durham by 8 a.m. to make the most of the morning sunshine. The bluebell woods looked stunning in the dappled sunshine and shade. They looked very fresh after a soaking from the rain yesterday. We cut across the boundary of the cricket pitch at the University Sport Centre - massive investment and huge changes there - to reach the bluebell wood and hubby found a discarded cricket ball. He handed it over to the groundsman who was very grateful. It has clouded over this afternoon and the wind is whipping up. I think Storm Hannah is on her way. It also seems to be Friday and the weekend again - enjoy.
