Sgwarnog: In the Field

Green

A few days of rain and the world has turned green.

11yo, 14yo & I headed over to Cliffe Castle for the day. It's the first time we've been back since all aspects of the rolling refurbishment of the past few years have been finished. It was nice to see a working fountain and the cafe and pavilion back in use, and even better to find two kinds of vegan cake on offer. I chose the frangipan.

We rotated inside and out. The kids really like the museum here, with 14yo noting that it was better than most museums because it didn't have any interactive stuff and he just enjoyed looking at the eclectic mix of objects. And there's so much that there's always something you haven't noticed before, along with the favourites.

Today's image sees the two of them frolicking under an impressive tree, with only the sound of the Keighley Cougars stadium announcer to challenge the bird song.

And that's their Easter break over with.
