Wanderings & Witterings

Down

And so Season 2018-19 ended with Falkirk being relegated from the SPFL Championship. They will play in League One next season. This despite a 3-2 home win against the league champions Ross County and a performance of the type we've rarely seen this season. Everything that was good about today's performance had been sadly lacking for much of the preceding ten months.

We went into today's match knowing that a win, plus a defeat by Alloa at Ayr United, would see the Wasps relegated and Falkirk taking their chances in the play-offs. An even more unlikely scenario was that Queen of the South would lose by eight goals and a Falkirk win would see them relegated, but it wasn't to be. Alloa drew their match and Queens lost by only three goals.

My Blips will be from some new destinations next season. Every cloud... eh?
