a Scots life

Best walk anywhere....

This is the one walk that I always do in Cornwall, Men-an-Tol, the strange monument with two standing stones and a stone doughnut between, up to Ding Dong mine, always so impressive, across to the Nine Maidens stone circle, always a puzzle as there’s eleven stones, then a walk through White Downs Homestead trying to see the traces of ancient man that are apparently there, then Men Scryfa a standing stone inscribed in Latin, virtually unreadable now.
Wonderful walk in much better weather.
Then on to St Just for a pasty and a pint in the Star, such a pleasant little town.
