Foxton Locks, Near Market Harborough.

This is the bottom half of the locks, 5 of them which takes the narrow boats up to the half way point so that the waiting narrow boats coming down can continue on down.whilst the boats going up can continue their journey up to the main canal at the top which is another 5 steps up.

First extra is the passing point for the boats and the five locks into the next lock  to the main canal.
Second extra is a narrow boat going up.

After walking up to the top and back down again watching the locks in action, we had a superb lunch in the pub at the bottom. Fabulous day weather wise and a great meal.
Lots to see here and more to explore next time.

Take care and hope you have all had a nice weekend.
