Marsh Grass In Spring

A few dead reeds amongst the bright green new grass growing in the marsh. The water level is quite high today after all the rain overnight.

I like the pattern created by the clumps of grass and the path that the water takes between them. The reeds are the most different element in the scene which is otherwise mostly green and consequently they naturally catch the eye. Placing them almost center stage doubly emphasizes their importance, and I'm not sure that's warranted?
