The old family town

Today my brother and I went to Henley-on-Thames, home town to our father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. A beautiful day - we avoided the motorway and drove through Horton, Datchet and Eton and stopped for coffee in the wonderful garden centre at Dorney Court which stocks a huge range of beautiful plants.

We lunched in the Catherine Wheel and visited old friends of our grandfather in their lovely house in the town. My Blip shows St Mary's church in Henley from the Market Place - the River Thames flows out of sight beyond the church. A great day all round.
